My White Shirt

 "The same white ..? You dont have coloursense",she muttered.
This I expected.Everytime when i bought a new shirt she says so.

She doest know my facination to 'WHITE'.

"You dont know the fashion.....You dont know new trends.....You dont know 

anything.... 

Was there no other colour, only white..?"

I know justification wont work with her still i tried to justify myself. 
"It was quite unexpected when I'm coming back saw the shirt displayed in a shop.

I was very much attracted by it.so I baught it". 

But thats not enough to console her.She has herown point of view on 

everything, but my concept is different.

I dont know when I started to love white.I remember,in childhood my father was in clean white 

dress with a serious face.He used to bring white colour dress to us. My brother wanted 

different coloured dress.But i hadnt got any complaint.Fathers bald head , smiling face, lovely

touch,everything i get when I see white.

     Am I following my father....?? I dont know.But today I am much satisfied.,inspite of my 

wifes dark face I got a new white shirt.

      "Are you not sleeping today...????" she cried.

Its warning to off the light.I know it is better to switch off the light. I lay in the bed 

dreaming of my new "WHITE SHIRT" 

TO SIR WITH LOVE-A Review

To Sir With Love is an english movie released in the second half of 20th century.Though the film made in 1960s one seems naturaly to think it as a modern film.The theme of the film is relevent even today.

 The film focus a school and shows us a small social group,their way of life,their conversation etc.In this context we must remember the film made for a social reform.

Mr.Thackery,engineering graduate undertook the job of a teacher in a school in London suberb.we might have a doubt in our mind ,why he choose the teaching  profession? He himself gives the answer that he didnt get the expected one.The socio-economic system forced him to be a teacher.The director might have wanted to discuss unemployment.Colour is very significant here.A black man comes to teach white carries some meaning.He teaches manners ,good behaviour etc.which may break the traditional notion about black ie; black people are cultureless.we can assume that the colour prejudice might be the reason for Thackreys rejection from engineer posts.

How the attitude of teachers influence the school well reflected in the movie.There is no aspiration for teaching in them.Some teachers even discourage Thackery,but its only his strong dtermination helps him to be a successful teacher .His tolerence is remarkable inspite of his awareness about the activities in that school,he cop up with the situation.

 The film maker wants to discuss seriously the problems of underprivilage class.normaly the people belongs to coastal area known for their unpolished behaviour.But nobody discuss why they are so.Film maker suggests that they lack good education.

RIE Experience
